Boulevard du Palais in the
Île de la Cité, Paris
The Palais de la Cité “Palace of the City” is on the one of two natural islands – Île de la Cité – in the Seine.
There is a line – not too long – we decided not to wait.
Place Saint Michel is a square in the Latin Quarter. Pont Neuf on the Left Bank.
Named after their poet and literary critic in 1522 to 1560. The photo on the right is from wiki in 1850.
The tip of one of two natural islands in Paris. The famed Notre Dame is one of the attractions. The equestrian statue of Henry IV.
The art of urination in Paris. The colorful one is by the St. Martin Canal.
We passed by the World Heritage Centre (Headquarters, or Maison de l’UNESCO) or UNESCO – United Nations – at 7 Place de Fontenoy and turned onto Avenue de Suffren. A building caught my eyes, … emm … it looks like one in Beijing – maybe the color? Then a man (photo above) walked toward a tree and … relief himself. Land of free.
2 Impasse Saint-Eustache,
75001 Paris, France
The Church of St Eustache / L’église Saint-Eustache is in the 1st arrondissement, was built between 1532 and 1632. An underground mall is added – Central Park, pls take note. I’ve my tea and chocolate, watching the sunset.
.. in the morning
Des Halles was the medieval marketplace, and today it continues.
Crossing the Pont Neuf – a crêpes cart – between the Seine and des Halles is le Samaritaine, an old department store, now owned by LVMH – LV logo at the top (at one end, it has BJ – all I can think is Beijing, ha ha ha.)
38 Rue de Sèvres
75007 Paris, France
There is a guard by the entrance to check your bags.
Pricy but it has so much to offer – a food emporium – and the few items we tried were all very yummy. Many counters and tables give the shoppers an option to dine right there. Come for a drink or meal after a visit to MEP & Le Bon Marché. Bon Appetite.
… we picnic at one of my favorite spot near Musée d’Orsay.
Le Bon Marché…
