What’s English cuisine?

The lecture by Royal Oak Foundation (Carl Raymond) on Victorian food was good – very informative. Downton Abbey or Dickensian – as matter of fact, Mrs. Dickens, Catherine Hogarth who was the daughter of his editor, was a food writer, ahead of Mrs. Beeton and a light year ahead of  Martha Stewart: What Shall We Have for Dinner?.
