Left Bank and the Right

Seine in Paris is packed solid with tourists: too many boats jam the river. But the banks on either side are less so. More of them are locals. During day times they’re pretty empty, in fact.

La Rive Gauche, Left Bank consists 5, 6, 7, 13, 14 & 15 arrondissements, is the southern side of the river. It’s smaller and used to be less expensive, enabling many artists to live there: Hemingway, Picasso and Matisse. Montparnasse (14 e) and Latin Quarter (5 & 6 e) are popular with arts, students and artists.

If I were to take a dinner cruise, this monkey ship €108 pp wine extra. We didn’t bec it starts at 9pm, way too late for my palate.
