Will not return: good food (the pizza is terrible), but it’s way too much to stomach.
Finding it is a mini trip: it’s behind the Audi dealership, off the main road Al Ujazdowskie.
Lovely ambiance: high ceilings and dim lighting. Mostly English-speaking dinners. The presentation of the food is good with solid service.
Things here echoe music, from menus (Maestro and Virtuoso, which we’ve) to a Polish wine label featuring musical notes.
I love the stem they serve Białe Skały Pinot Noir in a Spiegelau glass. The Tchaikovsky wine (?) from southern Poland Czajkowski Thoma, which I prefer, is served in a Schott Zwiesel. I would order another Pinot to enjoy in the glass, but the amount of food stop me cold.
One crop of diners per night, for thirteen tables (if I counted right) are occupied, mostly by couples. One group of three, and two tables each have a single male diner. We nearly closed the kitchen by staying until late.
When I asked to film the chefs at work in their open kitchen, a server responded, ‘Of course, there isn’t a secret.’
The amount of food they offer is just too much, as if they’re trying to justify the $$$ they charge. Fine dining isn’t about quantity but quality and polish. Less is more.
