There was a famous disco / event hall in New York, also called Palladium in Gramercy district, opened in 1927, closed in 1997 and demolished the year after. I remembered it was hot in the 1980s, when by Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager (Peter Gatien operated from 1992-7) converted it to a night club – we went there dance often. At the same time, there was another famed disco venue: The Limelight, operated by Peter Gatien. It was covered from a church.
