I wanted to go to Istanbul but all the tours had sold out. The travel agent suggested Egypt tour. The only condition was that I had to fly in the night before. kidnapped in Cairo …

Cairo was founded in 969 by Fatimid Caliphate. We visited the Khan el-Khalili bazaars on Sunday, April 29, 1984 and Pyramid the following Monday.
Afterward, we left for Aswan on 1st of May.

Initially, I wanted to go to Istanbul but the tours were fully booked. The agent, then suggested to Egypt, but I needed to fly out there the night before, due to no seat on the same flight; on the return flight, however they would have a space for me with the group.
I went for a week, April 28 – May 5 in 1984; flew between three cities: Cairo, Aswan and Luxor. Almost being kidnapped in Cairo.
