Building 28 楼, ZGC 中关村
Zhongguancun Building #28, within the compound of the Institute of Zoology (动物研究所), was used as staff housing (宿舍).
If I remember correctly, the building had two entrances (两个门洞), and on each floor there were two apartments on either side of the staircase.
My mother lived on the third floor, on the left side of the stairs when entering from the rightmost entrance. She was assigned a room facing the courtyard. Her room was sandwiched between two others—or possibly one room on one side and a shared kitchen next to the bathroom on the other.
The small bathroom was really just a toilet, located at the end of the hallway.
This area is being demolished in 2025, for rebuilding.
