This center is affiliated with Made in New York, IFP (Independent Filmmaker Project), sponsored by HP. They hope they would be fully funded by membership soon. $150 monthly for a community membership and $450 for a more meaty one. They ask for 6 months commitment but apparently is negotiable. Their biz card.
The PowerUp drawing is done in five hours. The theater has 74 seats and is open to its members. The old fashioned phone booths are without old fashioned phones. They’re useful for both the callers (privacy) and people who work there (quietness).
It is a suspension bridge over the East River in lower Manhattan, connecting Chinatown‘s Canal Street to Brooklyn. It opened to traffic on 1909.12.31, designed by Leon Moisseiff.
