Will return. Great view of Canal de l’Ourcq, from an old warehouse, on the banks of the Bassin de la Villette. Reportedly, it’s the largest artificial body of water in Paris. Good food and decent service. Graffitis & Lou Reed ~ Beers ~ Eat and nap ~ Why not?!

An incubator for the arts that opened in 2008, converted from a funeral home. Most spaces are free but there are a few suits at the back are for rent.
A company is rehearsing. One of the dancers is from US and had lived in NYC for a while.
Place de la Bataille-de-Stalingrad @ La Villette
The Battle of Stalingrad was one of the major battles in World War II, resulted in Russian victory over the invading Germans. The French laid down for the Germans in two weeks, and they had nothing to do with the Battle of Stalingrad. Just thinking out loud.
The square is at the junction of two canals: Canal de l’Ourcq and Saint-Martin, looking out to PBC Paname.

Paris has a few major stations: Gare du Nord, Lyon and de l’Est – with metro and trains. Gare du Nord is bigger than Grand Central and Penn Staton. Trains aren’t as popular in US as in Europe.
