Great Head hike
We almost gave up the hike from the Sand Beach because at first, we didn’t see the trail clearly. Then four hikers came and we followed them. So glad we did. And a little yoga just adds more fun.

This out door space at Bar Harbor Inn is great. Love their fire pit which is on pretty much all the time. It fake but still makes me feel good even under the ‘blazing’ sunshine. The chowders are good (a bit heavy for me …) Sipping the wine and watching the sailboat Margret Todd come and go. Neat wine glasses.

Sand Beach
A seagull’s breakfast at the beach which is pristine and tranquil in the morning. We first hiked the Great Head then have our picnic and swimming!

The moon walk
Friday Sept 13 is the Moon Festival in China, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. After the beautiful sunset, we walked up to this bright moon and the milk way. My iPhone 8 didn’t nearly captured the beauty and tranquility of the moon and the water that reflected it. My fault, of course.
The Shore Path is a nice walk.

Sunrise @ Cadillac
We got up at 4:45, the temperature was 45. The road was dark. As soon as we turned into the park, soon two cars came behind us: no more lonely journey. Then at at junction, two cars went ahead of us. Then quickly, we saw people walking with blankets over them.
“Hope the parking lot isn’t too full …”
Yes it was.
Thanks lord we were early. So we doubled down to park at a lower lot and walked back up to the peak.
