A wine bar sits next door to Le Bernardin: the master sommelier is from the seafood restaurant. My encounter with them is less than ideal.

1 star for the service: cold and snobbish.
5 star for the stems

Zalto is one of my faves: thin, light and elegant.

Upon entering the bar, a male staff rushed over and greeted us by the door. His attitude could be warmer and friendlier? We’re not your enemy.

The young woman who served us is downright cold and snobbish. Sorry that my Chinglish is less than perfect.

I thought about the last time we came to find a closed door, in spite of me having called them the night before to check, and was assured by a female that they were open. Maybe lousy service is their trade mark.

Library @ Station

I went to the library to renew my library card. Did I realized that this branch is reopened after a lengthy renovation. The green theme mades the place inviting. However, as I snapped couple of photos, one of the three employees that were conferring in the s room, said, “No photos please.”

The Asian lady who was renewing my card, said, rather surprised, “no photos?”

“Yes, no photos,” an affirmatively reply.

Oh well. Here they are since they didn’t demand me to delete …
