Love their tiles.

… and All you need is wine sign on the wall.

Will return for the location, ambiance and food.

The location is great, in the heart of little Savanna.
The small plates are good too:
– mashed potato 🥔
– ceviche
– autopsy

Their house wines are decent and 🍷 glasses are good too, not high end tho.

The service isn’t bad until the bill time. The service charge is included and the staff is pretty sneaky about it.

Chee Hsin tiles in Cubata and a building in Miami’s Little Havana.

This is our first year going to Miami, for Miami Open and a few other sporting events, which are the side shows.

We stayed at Seaside for 4 nights, and attended four sporting events.

Will not return: didn’t feel secure in the hotel.

We stayed there in March 2023 during the Miami Open. Cleaning up photos today, I saw this photo, so add this post two years after the fact.

This hotel is spread out across several buildings. It’s on the barrier island, Miami Beach’s North Beach, a block from the North Beach Oceanside Park, where we have our breakfast, take a long walk, and yes, go into the water – can’t swim tho – the Atlantic Ocean’s waves are just too strong to swim.

Our unit is inside a two-story courtyard. The unit is spacious with a kitchenette.

We made a mistake by reserving one night less than we needed. It shouldn’t be a big deal. But their cleaners don’t speak English, and when he came in in the morning, he could have told us that it’s our checkout day. We then left. Got a phone call in the afternoon, around 3pm, informing us that we need to move out of the room because it was booked, and they’re charging us for the night. We rushed back from Little Havana. Found our room is ajar, a man in street clothes inside.

“Who are you?” I asked, meaning if he’s the housekeeping staff.

He left immediatly without replying. I could only take a photo from the back as he was exiting.

I felt very unsettled. He should tell us who he is and why he is in our room. By that time, we still have the room. IF he’s from housekeeping, he could have said so, easing any concern the guest may have.

When I went to their office to inquire. All I got was a short lecture from the lady, that we over-stayed, so the charge is justified.

“But I’m not arguing the $100 charge …” I think it was about $100 penality.

Two other women in the office piled in, “Yes, we’re rightfully charging you. …”

Many days later, when I wanted to wear my Tiffany tennis pendant, I couldn’t find it. I immediately thought of him. Finding a stranger in your room is very disconcerting.

… I had two. Now I can only wear it as a pendant. (Recently, I bought a pair from another brand to wear as earrings.)
