Stuyvesant High School

345 Chambers St,
New York, NY 10282

A top rated public high school in the city for many decades. Uncle Jimmy attended it in the 1960s. When he came to NY a few years ago, we went to downtown near South Ferry looking for it. The enrollment was 3,356 in 2017.

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge

My nth time walking the bridge and set a walking record for myself: 13.4 miles!

New York westside

Someone must love New York: I set a walking record of 13.4 miles (31,781 steps!!) on the West side, on a hot day, 89 degrees. Oh my. Lunch at Ai Fiori and Peter Luger. The redevelopment at the Hudson Yards is impressive. The High Line is pretty as usual  (saw the warning sign for monks again!). I discovered many new places on the long walk to 9/11 along the Hudson River. The Piers, City Vineyard, Stuyvesant High School, Rockfeller Park, Vesey Green, Beaubourg @ Winter Garden Atrium, Oculus and 9/11; Brooklyn Bridge, and the sunset @ WFC.

#7 at Hudson Yards

The purple subway #7 has a new station at the Hudson Yards.

Hudson Yards 哈德逊广场

Bounded by West 42nd and 43rd Streets, 7th and 8th Avenues, West 28th and 30th Streets, and Hudson River Park.

This is a huge redevelopment project, among NYS, NYC and Metropolitan Transportation Authority – which is no surprise that #7 subway is extended. The honeycomb or the vessel, anchors the complex.

High Line in 2018

I walked it entirely, on a very hot day. Unsurprised, I saw the warning of the monks again. And the aerial bridge

Ai Fiori

400 5th Ave, Ste 2
New York, NY 10018

A high end Italian restaurant, on the second floor of Langham hotel. The vibe is pretty good. Decor is fine, so is their service. Their bathroom is well appointed. Food, during the restaurant week is pretty good. The lime green calla lily (?) is the best.
