It’s the capital of Hubei province with 11 million people. The three cities (武汉三镇) made up Wuhan are: Wuchang 武昌, Hankou 汉口 and Hanyang 汉阳. When mentioning Wuhan, its bridge (wiki) comes to my mind easily. And Chairman Mao’s swim across the river. Amount numerous historical events, are Wuchang Uprising (wiki) that established PR China in 1912. Not sure Li Na, a native who won two grand slams (French’11 and Aussie’14) could count historical but it’s an event for me. And most recently, the corona virus.

I visit the Temple after breakfast. It’s a short drive from the HongFu Hotel. We made a pit stop at Zhuanqiao Secondary School (Middle School 砖桥中学).

Going in from the hotel, and the street scenes between the School and the Temple. There is a big stone, donated by the Class of 1975, naming the area as Dream Chasing Dream Chasing Jujube Garden 追梦枣园.

The hotel Hongfu 鸿福大酒店 is the best in town (its facilities & guidance) and popular with weddings.  The foundation treated me to a suit with two toilets, which I protested to no avid. It feels old, and … hmmm… yucky, with many cigarette ashtrays.

Nearly two hours drive from the Hefei South rail station (70 km). The restaurant is next to Morning Market 晨光农贸. They kindly displayed a banner as a warm welcome, oh boy. The owner is a distant relative, who sweated in Wenzhou before coming home to open up his own shop. The cucumber cold appetizer is really good, look and texture wise. And I taste for the first time, their local rice dumplings, which is fried.

Waling around the boat, wandered into this sneaker shop. They look like Skechers to me, but with different logo.

My friend sees one pair and would like to try. The sales girl is polite and finds her size.
“Oh, it’s so comfortable.” My friend says.
“Yes, they’re,” sales girl says.
“Where are they made?”
“Oh, we’ve many places to produce them.”
“So, not centralized in one location?”
“No.”
“Why?”
“Because so many are trying to copy us, we’ve to be careful, spread out our production, so it’s hard for them to copy.”

LOL … are you kidding me? You’re the copycat, and now you don’t like to be copied? Guess the counterfeit dislike counterfeit … how does that work?
