Huaxin Park was the next stop after lunch. It’s the namesake textile factory Zhou Xuexi founded in 1918, on the eastern side of the Tanghe River. We crossed the Steel Bridge (Beixin E Road) to there and left on the Huaxin Bridge to the train station.
The ‘park’ isn’t much of a park but a tiny crescent land on Huaxin E Road on the southern side. Perhaps, it’s spared by the developer. The main compound (Tanghe River across), Steel Town’s Spring City 钢城春邑 is encircled by high fence, which forbid visitors. The tall buildings can be seen easily. The Sales Center is prominent displayed.
Google Huaxin Park, two areas show up: on the north and south. To the SE corner, is Jinjiang Inn 锦江之星唐山新华道酒店 on 1 Xinhua E Road 新华东道1号.
The Huaxin Bridge (Qixin Motorway Interchange): the left is taken on Oct 10, 2019 and right on Jan 18, 2020. The change is due to shabby workmanship.

This themed restaurant is inside the compound of Qixin Cement Museum 中国水泥工业博物馆北. The organizer was very thoughtful and treated me to a lunch at Zhou’s Room 周公馆, which is in honor of my great granduncle Zhou Xuexi. Looking out the window I saw a train passing by. The foods are delicious and nicely presented. The photos of Thunderstorm (雷雨 Leiyu) is also a very nice touch because it’s claimed the play by Cao Yu (曹禺) was based on the Zhou.

The official name is Tangshan Qixin Cement Industrial Museum (唐山启新水泥工业博物馆) but people call it the old fashion way: Qixin museum. The old Qixin cement ceased fire in 2008 and the museum was opened in 2012 after Jidong Cement Co 冀东水泥股份有限公司 1000123 bought it 2011. When the former competitors, Jidong and Beijing Jinyu Cement Co 北京金隅水泥公司 underwent reorganization, Jinyu became the owner in 2019. The current name is China Cement Industry Museum 中国水泥工业博物馆 as seen here.
