The lake of this 737 acres state park is man made! Surprisingly, there are many garbage cans – I thought by now, most parks are carry in and carry out. We didn’t stay long. When we got to the parking lot, the sun came out.

It’s a cloudy day, the colors are not as vivid, unfortunately.
This 463 acre park was owned by August Belmont (1813-90), the German-American financier and the founder of the Belmont Stakes, third leg of the Triple Crown of American Thoroughbred horse racing.
